Le Mans Classic

therefore inaugurate this blog with a rally that drew the whole band in the Sarthe, a mecca of the automobile: I named the Bugatti circuit, home of the COA, and by extension from the National Tours and passing near Arnage, the Circuit Car de la Sarthe, which annually hosts the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans, unfortunately too little media coverage in France but internationally known.
This circuit has therefore also every two years, alternating with the Le Mans Story (much less interesting to us), the Le Mans Classic, the opportunity to see rolling shelf by large cars, such as Jaguar E-Type and Ford GT40. But it's also the chance to see the largest gathering sports car / prestige of France, and very close to our greatest pleasure. The peculiarity is that anyone can access the pre-race grid and parking welcoming owners and their car.
In addition to what is happening inside (and God is calling!), Stroll along the roads and parking lots outside despite the fatigue and the heat is exhausting and a great pleasure, because as each rally there a significant proportion of beautiful cars outside the enclosure. For the record, that's me (Bizzik) and two other friends, we ended up pushing a Maserati Bora Sarthe for help to leave after she has fallen in the road along the wall. An unusual experience!
This year, this event attracted over 95,000 people, less than 24 hours but the crowd believes every year, and do so maddening. Big black spot is that more people there are, the greater the risk of access limitations there will be, and it does not suit us because neither professional nor recognized as a major spawning in the middle, we can not even hope to receive a press pass can still enjoy this show. In the opinion of a friend, access was severely restricted even for several editions, even if access to the entire enclosure is still single tariff. However, we do not lament: nothing is done and there is no evidence yet that something will be done!
remains to improve access to water points, too rare in this heat, and traffic flow unlikely given the number of cars on the track during those three days.
Latest news, upcoming LMC will be held the second weekend of July 2012, and if prices do not move, the single fare is € 55 for weekend access to the enclosure, and free for under 16 accompanied by an adult.
I join this message only one photo, the rest being partly visible on our various galleries listed in the Useful Links page.
